  10. Get 2 tsp coriander seeds
  11. Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  12. Make ready 1 inch fresh turmeric root peeled and chopped or you can use 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  13. Make ready 1 inch fresh ginger root - peeled and chopped
  14. Prepare 4-6 red bird eye chillis
  15. Make ready 1 stalk lemongrass - finely sliced
  16. Prepare 3 cloves garlic
  17. Take 2 tbsp cashews
  18. Get 1 tsp lime juice
  19. Get 1 tbsp shrimp paste
  20. Prepare 3 cups veggie broth or water
  21. Get 1 can coconut milk about 1.5 cups and can add some more water if needed
  22. Prepare 1 lime - cut in wedges

Laksa is a spicy noodle soup popular in the Peranakan cuisine of Southeast Asia. Laksa consists of thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish.   5. To serve, in a bowl place a handful of bean sprouts at the bottom, add noodles, carrot and your prefer vegetables and pour some sauce in. Garnish with coriander, lime and red chilli

Divide the noodles between bowls and top with the laksa and shredded chicken. Top with the coriander, basil, onion and chilli to serve. Put the chicken in a large saucepan with the coriander seeds, ginger, lemongrass, lime zest and a little salt. This milky chicken and noodle laksa is full of Malaysian flavour!
