Being quite an amateur cook I still managed to cook up a feast with this single dish and my hubby is still licking his. This is a great Pakistani Recipe. I found it on a bag of Falak Basmiti rice. And the most commonly used rice for biryani is basmati rice.
Instructions to make Chicken biryani rice #eid Mubarak:
- Wash chicken parts n pat dry
- Add d spices of coriander, yoghurt, curry
- Add black pepper, paprika, mixed spices
- Add chicken seasoning, turmeric, ginger
- Add lemon juice,garlic n stir thoroughly
- After stiring use a cling film for it to marinate for 12hrs keep in a fridge
- Wash and soak rice for one hr, 2 parboil add cardamon pods and clove powder to d rice
- Add black pepper n salt allow to cook for 10mins
- Add oil in a pot,pour in d sliced onions fry till golden brown
- Keep d fried onion aside u will need it later add d marinated chicken to d oil now add pepper mix dis procedure here is optional if u wnt it a bit spicy u can add pepper mix n other spices
- Add parsley leaf n mint leaf,add chicken seasoning n stir
- Add d fried onions cover to cook for 30 minutes pour out d chicken sauce frm d pot i actually forgot to snap d laying of rice n chicken sauce but its simple firstly jst lay d cooked rice in d pot followed by chicken sauce, follow by d rice
- Add d rice on top of d sauce then add d red n yellow food colour repeat dis process until all d rice n chicken sauce are absorbed
- Note cinnamon and masala powder are part of d ingredients for biryani but i personally dnt like those spices dats why i didnt use dem
