Steps to make Chicken Sausage Pulao:
- In a bowl, add chicken sausages, lemon juice, turmeric powder and salt and marinate for few hours.
- Wash the rice till the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 20 to 30 minutes. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a cooking pan. Add in the whole spices and let them sizzle.
- Add in the onions and cook till light golden.
- Add in the green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell leaves.
- Add in the tomatoes and salt and cook till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- Add in the spice powders and saute for a minute.
- Add in the marinated chicken sausages and coriander leaves and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add in the soaked and drained rice and saute for a minute.
- Add in the water. Keeping the flame on high, let the water come to a boil. When the water boils, reduce the flame to low and cover and cook till all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked. ie. For 12 to 15 minutes. Keep covered for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
