Shoyu Ramen Soup is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It is simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. Shoyu Ramen Soup is something that I have loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

How many flavours of Ramen are there? There are four main types of ramen in terms of base broth and noodle soup flavour; Shoyu (soy sauce), Shio (salt), Miso, and Tonkotsu (Pork bone base broth). Shoyu and Shio are light and clear soups whereas Miso and Tonkotsu are much heavier and cloudier soups.

The ingredients needed to make Shoyu Ramen Soup:
  1. Get 1200 ml Chicken Stock *OR Water & 2 teaspoons Asian Chicken Bouillon Powder
  2. Prepare 1 teaspoon Dashi Powder *Bonito type recommended
  3. Take 1 Spring Onion *cut to 10cm in length
  4. Take 1 clove Garlic *crushed
  5. Get 1 small piece Ginger *thinly sliced
  6. Prepare 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  7. Prepare 2 tablespoons Mirin
  8. Make ready 3-4 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  9. Make ready Salt & White Pepper

Just like miso ramen, curry ramen broth may be clear (shio or shoyu) or opaque and milky (tonkotsu). Curry paste is added for a different dimension of spice experience. This shoyu ramen recipe is a quick and easy way to get your ramen fix without spending hours (even days) to prepare. I don't claim that this recipe is super authentic but I will claim that it is delicious and pretty darn close to shoyu ramen bowls that I have tried at various restaurants.

Steps to make Shoyu Ramen Soup:
  1. Place Chicken Stock, Dashi Powder, Spring Onion, Garlic, Ginger and Sesame Oil in a pot. Bring to the boil over high heat, then simmer for 30 minutes or until flavours are all well combined.
  2. Add Soy Sauce and Mirin, and adjust the saltiness with Salt. Add finely ground White Pepper to taste.
  3. Place rightly cooked Ramen noodles and your favourite toppings (my favourite toppings for 'Shoyu Ramen' are Boiled Egg and Roasted Pork), and enjoy immediately!

It's basically a noodle soup, most often made with a meat or chicken broth, and occasionally a fish-based broth. Making delicious ramen noodles can be quite difficult. Chefs in Japan usually train very hard to make quality ramen. This recipe, however, is a relatively quick and easy take on soy sauce-flavored (shoyu) ramen that you can make at home. Making ramen from scratch is pretty darn elaborate.
