Bengali Bhetki Macher Paturi Recipe is Bengali Style Barramundi Fish cooked by wrapping in banana leaf. The bhetki fish pieces are marinated in a spiced mustard paste, wrapped in banana leaf individually and then slow cooked till tender. The word "Paturi" means leaf, in Bengali. Generally we Bengalis make paturi using Ilish (hilsa fish), Bhetki (Barramundi fish) and chingri (prawn).

- Make a batter mix with corn flour and egg & salt make a batter and keep aside, and in other side wah fishes with water and rub salt and lime juice to the fish pieces.
- Now boil oil in the heated skillet,and keep fishes in the batter mix well and fry both sides(in high flame) of the fishes and keep aside.
- Sauce - boil rest of the oil with sesame oil in the same skillet,after remove the fried fishes. Put garlic saute till brown,next add onion and ginger saute for minute,add carrot saute for few minutes add all types of bell peppers saute for medium high heat add vinegar add soya sauce mix well add black pepper powder,salt red chilli sauce,tomato sauce, mix well saute for medium high heat add liquid corn starch mix again saute until the gravy is well cooked.
- When it has done put gravy to the fishes.and spread well.
