Sheer means milk in Persian and khurma means dates, which means 'milk cooked with dates' in English and is made by cooking milk, fine vermicelli, dates, and other dry fruits until they all come together to make a delicious delight.   1. Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan.

  3. Boil milk in a thick bottom vessel
  4. Once boiled, keep it in a low flame.
  5. Stir in between thickening the milk.
  6. Add fried vermicelli in it.
  7. Cook well till it gets thick.
  8. Add dates and dry fruits in it.
  9. Add sugar and whole dried milk / mawa and mix well.
  10. Add cardamom powder and grated coconut.
  11. The consistency is not so thick nor liquid.
  12. Garnish with safron and almonds.
