The ingredients needed to make Fried Wonton Chicken:
  1. Get 2 piece chicken breast
  2. Get 3 pinch salt and pepper

  5. Prepare 3 tbsp sesame oil
  6. Get 1 package wonton skin, available in asian grocery
  7. Prepare canola oil or vegetable oil to fry
  8. Take sweet and chilli sauce or sriracha sauce to dip the wonton

In a pinch, you can use dumpling wrappers, egg roll wrappers, or spring roll wrappers. You can fold these wontons any way you like. I've provided instructions below to fold them as shown in these photos, but you can also simply fold the wrapper over to make a triangle shape if that's easier. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, carrots and water chestnuts.

Instructions to make Fried Wonton Chicken:
  1. To make the chicken stuff : blend the chicken breast with garlic,salt pepper,chicken powder, and sesame oil in the food processor untill all mixed. you may add more sesame oil as you wish,it gives more flavour and smoothen the mixture
  2. Put a teaspoon of chicken mixture in the wonton skin and fold it like a dim sum until all the stuff finished
  3. Fry the wonton in a deep frying pan with canola oil or vegetable oil in a medium heat till its golden brown
  4. Serve the wonton with sweet and chilli or sriracha sauce

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, water, soy sauce and ginger until smooth. Add to chicken mixture; toss to coat. Connect the two lower points of the wrapper and moisten to seal and make a hat shape. Repeat with remaining chicken and wonton wrappers. Pre-soak the mushrooms if using dried shiitake mushrooms (then squeeze any water from the mushrooms and reserve the soaking liquid–if using fresh mushrooms, skip this step).
